This blog has opened up so many great opportunities for me. One of the most recent developments has led me to gain the title of ‘Social Media Manager’ for the New Zealand Business Women’s Network who are based in London. If you’re a kiwi lady working in London, or just kiwi friendly then please head over to their website and join this network which has some of the most inspiring and helpful women I have ever met in my life.
Anyway, I first went to meet Bronwen, the head of the network, over at Ozone Coffee Roasters in Shoreditch. Hidden down Leonard Street, a hop, skip and a jump from Old Street station, it has since become my sort-of office: a place to get away from my East End Abode and get that all important head-space while feeling part of the buzz of somewhere really exciting.
I always forget to take my camera to this place so I only have one or two pictures of it but the coffee and food there is exceptional. It makes me feel like I’m back having my early morning coffee shop meetings with my former boss back in Wellington (we were on a first-name basis with the baristas at Mojo).
I’ve taken to getting a slice of cake and generally a re-fillable pot of tea when I go there but I’ve downed the odd flat white and they are up there with the best of the Antipodean baristas in this city. I’ve yet to get there early and hungry enough but I’ve added Ozone the brunch club list.
If you live or work anywhere nearby, you’re so lucky. Head down there now and watch their coffee experts making some of the best coffee you’ll taste in the UK.
Ozone Coffee Roasters can be found at 11 Leonard Street, London EC2A 4AQ. Nearest tube is Old Street.
